Jason Fox has brewed professionally and/or consulted for breweries since 1997. He began his career as an apprentice brewer and worked his way up to Brewmaster and Director of Operations for a craft brewery in Western NY. While there he had the opportunity to design and supervise the building of a new production facility with an onsite aerobic wastewater treatment plant. In addition to brewing experience, Jason has also worked as a Production Supervisor for a large food manufacturing plant and designs and sells wastewater treatment systems for breweries. Jason has a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt in Lean Manufacturing and speaks at conferences throughout the country about brewery wastewater treatment.
FMS was created in 2010 to help brewers manage and treat wastewater. Eventually requests started to come in for general brewery consulting and new brewery design. Soon the company was sourcing equipment, creating brewery layouts, helping to write business plans, formulating recipes and even brewing for clients if necessary.
Today FMS is a full service brewery consulting firm. We have a team of manufacturers, suppliers and contractors that we work closely with to provide the best service and equipment possible. We can help with every aspect of the brewery business, from new brewery design to recipe formulation, process control and improvement, yeast management, good manufacturing practices, safety, cost reduction, lean manufacturing and of course, wastewater treatment.
